The inauguration of the Book Fair was held this morning under the banyan tree of the House of Culture. Many officials and primary and secondary school classes were present.
The Minister of Culture and Environment, Heremoana Maamaatuaiahutapu, announced that he would resume the bookmobile for "they may go into the neighborhoods."
In this dark hour of attacks he launched "take our pens and our pencils, and give our lights do just the triumph of freedom.". For his part, the High Commissioner, Lionel Beffre indicates that this book fair is "a small light in the night" and called on young people to "awaken their consciousness through books." The book fair is open until Sunday afternoon.
